the eternal and immutable question

Sometimes, you don't know where you are, who you are, or what you're doing.
Sometimes, you wonder, is this it? Sometimes, you're not really thinking, you're just enjoying, and you feel, I'm glad this is it! or even This is it! :D
Sometimes I wish I always feel like that.

But usually I feel like this: Is this it? And a lot of the time I just think, don't think! What's wrong with you? You don't have time to think, you are on a very tight schedule here, if you start moping now there won't be time to study, work, class, study again, exercise, sleep, wake up, keep going. And if I stop to think, why am I doing this again? Well, I can't stop to think of course. That's why you come up with a programmed answer, like how you say 'Jesus' for all the questions in Sabbath school, or one of those promotional sayings. "We must protect the country, our loved ones! Arrrgghh!!"
But then the question becomes, Is it worth it? Is that it? Isn't there something else?

And then, of course, if I'm thinking, If I stopped to think, then I could question, would I ask the same question if I was doing something I really enjoyed. Probably not, since I wouldn't really be thinking then, right? But a body can only take so much before it needs some kind of pause, and then it will stop, and then it will think... And the question remains the same, no matter what you're doing. Is this it?
You could say, get some religion. The religious type don't ask Is this it? Because they have a future, glorious future in mind. There's something else for them, out there, up there, in the near/far future, there's something else.
(I could still ask them, Is that it?)
But there are enough unhappy people

I mean, everything starts from faith for all of us

  • we have to believe that we exist.
  • we have to believe there is a meaning.

those are the first two faiths
